Business Impact Analysis

The Business Impact Analysis (BIA) will help your institution identify which business units, operations and processes are essential to the survival of the institution. The BIA will facilitate the identification of how quickly essential business units and/or processes have to return to full operation following a disaster situation. It will delineate the business impact of disaster scenarios on the ability of the institution to perform critical services. Business impacts are identified based on a worst-case scenario that assumes that the physical infrastructure supporting each respective business unit has been destroyed and all records, equipment, etc. are not accessible. The BIA will also facilitate the identification of the resources required to resume business operations to a survival level.
